Juba Teaching Hospital had welcomed more than 20 babies over Christmas.
The 11 girls and 11 boys were born on the 24th and 25th of December. A midwife at the hospital’s maternity wing, Joyce Peace Aburi told Radio Miraya that the babies are all in good health.
In a related development, Juba Hospital received 4,600 patients at its emergency and outpatient departments from the 24th of December to Christmas Day.
The Medical Director in charge of accidents and emergencies, Dr. Alier Marko says the cases include trauma suffered due to apparent beatings.
Two deaths were recorded on the eve of Christmas and twenty-four patients were attended to on Christmas day.
