ALMOST 50% of South Sudanese boys are not changing their underwear every day, according to a disturbing survey.
The research revealed that 45% have worn the same pair of pant for 4 days or longer. Even worse, 13% of those surveyed admitted that they’d sported the same undies for seven days or more.
Men were the worst offenders, being 2.5 times more likely than women to wear their pants for a week especially in Gudele and Munuki residential area.
The research also revealed how rare people invest in South Sudan to buy new underwear, with 46% confessing that they’d owned a set for a year or more only and thirty eight per cent admitted that they had no idea how long they’d had certain pieces as due to the Coronavirus pandemic in the country.
