The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr. Abiy Ahmed, and Eritrean President, Isaiah Afeworki, have arrived in the capital Juba on Monday.
Sources at the Juba International Airport discloses that the two visiting East African leaders were received by President Kiir upon arrival.
“They have arrived and they are going to make a press conference at J1 and then will go for a closed door meeting.” the source said.
Last evening, South Sudan’s information Minister, Michael Makuei Lueth, told the state-owned SSBC that the two leaders will arrives in Juba in the morning.
Mr Makuei said the two men will hold trilateral talks with President Salva Kiir who will then meet them separately before they leave the country at one.
President Kiir who was on a regional tour to the country’s Bahr Al-Ghazal region abruptly returned to the capital Juba on Sunday to receive the visiting leaders.
