South Sudan’s information minister Michael Makuei Lueth has trashed telecommunication companies MTN and Zain in a press held in Juba yesterday. The minister who pioneered the demise of Vivacell in the Country says the companies in question are becoming very useless and should follow Vivacell soonest.
Makuei is very mad at the internet coverages the companies provide which he terms to be weak, rip off and mind game sucking money for the service they don’t fully provide. During the press, Makuei said, ‘MTN and Zain are very useless with their rip off games. Their coverage is crap and if they don’t improve, they will follow Vivacell’
The minister claims these telecommunication companies have become very incompetent and benefit from lousy services affecting their users. ‘They give you data they monitor and steal at will making citizens complain of their cheap services’, He added. He puts it that the citizens deserve government protection from insincere service providers.
Makuei says he is monitoring the companies and a potential termination of their existence in the country is pending if they don’t improve their internet service. ‘I can’t browse peacefully in my bed and when I think the internet is fast, I lose all the bundles without a clear knowledge of where it goes to’, He complained.
The government is set to summon the companies’ officials for a hard talk and in case they don’t comply, they will have no option but to pack and follow vivacell. Many citizens have raised concerns about these telecommunication companies and it looks like the government is working hard to relief them of their worries.
The information minister believes the government can grab a better telecommunication company which will serve out of sincerety instead of giving citizens unreliable services that aim at squandering money. He concluded saying that he’s tired of them and failure to swerve for the better will lead to their abrupt extinction.
