Meet Samson Loguya Morjan (born, 1989) known by his music name as Big5am(BigSam) is a South Sudanese Hip Hop recording artist, and performer from Kansuk, Kajo Keji In South Sudan.
Big5am started developing his love for music as a teenager listening to music from Fm stations and nothing came into his mind that one day he would make it his own.
Due to the civil war in the 90s, which left many villages empty, the rapper at only 5-years-old together with his family fled to Uganda and settled in so many refugee camps there. This included Adjumani refugee camp, bamurye, kali and so forth.. He finally settled in kyangwali refugee camp in Hoima district west of Uganda
The rapper/singer with his family lived in Kyangali refugee camps for 8 years between 1998 – 2006. In mid 2006, the rapper saw luck by moving to United Kingdom for residence. As a part of the Gateway Protection programme.
He’s currently living with half of his family in Bolton, Manchester, UK.
As they say, “practice makes perfect”, rapper Big5am is a big fan of practice. When free, he’s always in the recording booth working on a project or two. So far, he’s recorded over 7 songs talking about life and education.
The rapper is currently working with various young talented artistes, helping them realise their potential taking them to the studio also writing for them.
