The governor of Jonglei state Colonel Phillip Aguer Payang has finally expressed what he thinks about the people he is governing. The governor feels Buor and Tuei are not cooperative and always lock horns over name issue.
A trusted source disclosed that Aguer is heartbroken by the fact that the two communities do not get along and instead create and widen a rift that should not even exist.
In a meeting held in Bor Town yesterday, Aguer said, `I don`t understand why my people are always spilling their lungs over names that will not add them extra butts. It is sad that some people want this while others want the other`.
He continued saying that Buor and Tuei are one people but their disunity is the reason they will continue to suffer. He explained, `
You know one hand can not make a clap and they better digest that as people of the same state for their own good`.
The governor is calling on all Jonglei members to stop catalyzing issues that cause separation and instead work together for the betterment of their own state and people.
He strongly suggests that people cease from going live on Facebook just to feed their audience with the names they want them to be called if at all the name Jonglei is not enough.
Aguer directed his last remarks towards Buor and Tuei youth who reside in diaspora yet they fuel the separation of the two communities when they do not know exactly what the people on the ground need.
The governor concluded, `It is not bad to get involved in the affairs of your people even if you are outside of the country, but think of the people living in the state in question. We want them to make good neighbors instead of fighting each other over names`.
