A senior member of the South Sudan United Front (SSUF) led by General Paul Malong has gone missing in the Sudanese capital Khartoum, according to his family.
Omar Ishag Mohammed, who heads the SSUF office in Khartoum, disappeared since Wednesday.
“He left his home on Wednesday and hasn’t been seen or heard since that day, “Omar’s wife Iman Hassan told Radio Tamazuj this afternoon.
She said family members are concerned for his well-being after his mysterious disappearance. “We don’t know what has happened to him here in Khartoum because his phone is switched off,” Iman said.
The spokesman of the SSUF group, Sunday de John, said he was not aware of Ishag’s disappearance in Sudan.
Omar Ishag, who resigned from his position as government information minister in Lol state, joined Paul Malong in June.
